SHOOTING DIVISIONS & STYLES and AGE GROUPS
Texas Field Archery Association recognizes the shooting styles of the National Field Archery Association. Following are the current shooting styles and guidelines. In addition, TFAA will have a Genesis class for the Cub age Division.

Attention Parents of Youth Shooters
Please note NFAA/TFAA rules state that an archer moves up to a higher age division on their birthday. This means that if your child will have a birthday between now and the start of our State Championship, they must shoot in the higher age division for the remainder of the SYWAT season and in the state shoot. In anticipation of this, you are allowed to move your child up in age division during or at the start of the SYWAT season. Once a shooter moves up in age division, they must remain in that division. Please see your Field Governor at one of the SYWAT shoots if you have questions or email info@texasfieldarchery.org.
