2008 TFAA Marked 3D & American Round
The 2008 TFAA Marked 3D and American Round, were recently held in Houston and Round Rock, respectively.
Attendance was good for these events, especially considering the Texas heat in August as well as
high gas prices. Those events offically close out the 2008 TFAA sanctioned tournament season.
Thanks to all those who participated. Stay tuned to the website as well as the TFAN for details on
the upcoming 2009 TFAA tournament season. Indoor SYWAT events will get underway in November, 2008.
Good luck hunting this fall!!!

60th TFAA Field Championships
The 60th TFAA Field Championship was better than expected! With gas prices hovering
around $4.00 a gallon, the forcast was for shooter participation was only around 80
shooters. It was a nice surprise to have 119 shooting for TFAA State Championship
buckles. It was even a bigger surprise to see 11 CUB shooters, ages 11 and under, at state.
When the last arrows were shot, 11 TFAA members had tied or set record scores.
Notable mention to record breakers CUB FFS Emily Fischer and CUB FFSL
Schuyler Combs who broke all three of their style's records. Emily only
missed 10 arrows from the bullseye, out of the 224 arrows she shot during the competition.
Thanks to all who participated, and thanks to the Irving Bowhunters Association for hosting
a fantastic event.
