61st TFAA Field Championships
The 61st TFAA Field Championship, held in Waco, was a fantastic event.
114 of Texas' best archers were in attendance shooting for buckles, pride or maybe just for fun.
The host club, Huaco Bowmen, did a great job by providing a nice looking course with
great BBQ and plenty of water on the ranges. New officers were installed at the Saturday board
meeting. Special thanks to exiting board members Paula Dangler, Rhonda Wall, Merissa Hughes and
Tony Riggs, your service was very much appreciated.

2009 Texas Gander Archery Open
Maybe the economy is taking it's toll, maybe we just spend too much time on the internet.
Whatever the case, numbers were down for the Texas Gander Archery Open this year. 277 entries
was good, but we can do better. Good scores over the weekend by many. Thanks to all who supported
this event and special thanks to all the TFAA representatives who ran the stores.

2008 TFAA Marked 3D & American Round
The 2008 TFAA Marked 3D and American Round, were recently held in Houston and Round Rock, respectively.
Attendance was good for these events, especially considering the Texas heat in August as well as
high gas prices. Those events offically close out the 2008 TFAA sanctioned tournament season.
Thanks to all those who participated. Stay tuned to the website as well as the TFAN for details on
the upcoming 2009 TFAA tournament season. Indoor SYWAT events will get underway in November, 2008.
Good luck hunting this fall!!!
